All-in-one radio replacement and SWC interface for Select 2002-2015 Volkswagen Vehicles.

The RP4-VW11 interface allows the replacement of a factory radio in select Volkswagen vehicles with LSFT-CAN databus radios. Using this interface will retain factory features such as steering wheel controls (SWC) and the factory Volkswagen amplifier when the original radio is removed. Use of this interface also allows you to program two radio functions to each SWC button by using short press long press dual command functionality. The RP4-VW11 also provides data bus driven outputs such as retained accessory power (RAP), vehicle speed signal (VSS), illumination, reverse trigger and parking brake.

Compatibility Notes:

• 2002-2005 Vehicles: In these year vehicles the RP4-VW11 does not provide a Reverse output trigger. This signal is unavailable on the data bus. You must be replacing a factory Double-DIN radio. If the vehicle came equipped with a Single-DIN radio, the RP4-VW11 is not compatible.
  
• 2004-2007 Touareg: Does not retain amplified system when the vehicles is equipped with factory navigation radio In Premium Amplified Systems only two input channels can be used from the aftermarket radio, therefore there will be no fading capability of the aftermarket stereo.

Important Notes:

• These instructions apply to R.1.5.4.7 or later revisions. The revision info can be found on a small white sticker on the interface and packaging.
  
• The radio select rotary switch on the side of the interface must be adjusted to the proper radio setting before plugging the interface into the vehicle (see next page for setting chart).
  
• The interface comes pre-programmed for all of the vehicles factory SWC functions and does not require programming unless you wish to re-assign the SWC functions or utilize short press long press dual command functionality. The SWC can always be restored to default settings by pressing and releasing the program button on the side of the interface once and waiting 7 seconds for the LED to flash 4 times.
  
• The LED will flash whenever a user programmable SWC button is pressed.
  
• The SWC will not function when the vehicle is in Accessory mode.
  
• In vehicles equipped with factory Bluetooth, the telematics module must be disconnected in order to use the Phone and Voice buttons. Not disconnecting the telematics module will result in the MFD switching to phone mode every time the Phone or Voice buttons are pressed. The telematics module can usually be found under the passenger seat.
  
• The RAP feature is not available in 2010+ vehicles equipped with a premium amplified system.
  
• The parking brake wire will output a negative (-) trigger at all times until the vehicle is moving at a speed of approximately 3 mph or faster.

When used in any of the following vehicles equipped with a Multi Function Display (MFD): The audio screen will display the SWC functions as they are pressed on the steering wheel. It will also display “Programming Mode” whenever the programming button on the side of the interface is pressed. The Blue / White remote input wire must be hooked up, and the MFD must be in audio mode for these features to be displayed.

When used in any of the following vehicles equipped with a MFD: The up and down arrows on the SWC that also control the MFD come programmed with functions, but the SWC will control both the radio and the MFD. These buttons can be removed by reprogramming the interface and not programming these buttons.

Signature Required

Due to the valuable contents of some shipments, DBs Car Audio will only require a signature upon delivery if the order is over $500. Such guidelines will not be overruled upon the customer's request. Please understand that this is a security measure taken by our Company to ensure the safe delivery of each package and guarantee excellent service. Many of our third-party shipping carriers and payment companies require signatures upon delivery to protect against fraud and theft. Shipping Policy Disclaimer

Delivery estimates do not apply to items shipped directly from the manufacturer, nor out-of-stock items. Some items that ship from the manufacturer can only be delivered to addresses within the 48 continental states.

Standard delivery time for domestic customers will average from 2-4 business days, but can take longer in some cases. Saturday, Sunday and national holidays are not considered business days for delivery purposes.

Our Shipping Guarantee applies only to shipments delayed due to our service failure. We will not guarantee shipments that are delayed due to an act of god (ex: weather), a catastrophic event, or failure by our delivery partners.
