The APH-FD01 simplifies speaker wire connections when adding aftermarket amplifiers. Aftermarket amplifiers can be easily added with no need to cut or modify a vehicle’s original wiring. 47Ω 5 Watt resistors have been added to the amplifier side of the harness with the Gray connector to retain the safety and warning chimes when they are played through the factory door speakers.

• Not compatible in 2016-2017 Ford Expedition Platinum Edition

Installation Notes:

• It is always best to use a tone generator (PAC Part# TL-PTG2) to verify that the tables in this manual, and the labels on the wires, match the wiring in your specific vehicle.
  
• Connection of the Gray 16-pin connector from the APH-FD01 to the factory amplifier is only necessary if you wish for factory warning chimes to be retained by the aftermarket amplifier. When this harness is not connected to the factory amplifier, or the resistors are removed, the chimes will default to a small piezo speaker located in the upper dash and will no longer play through the sound system.
  
• If you are leaving any of the factory speakers connected to the factory amplifier, simply connect the speaker wires (color for color) between the male and female connectors. For example: If you want the rear speakers to be powered by the factory amplifier, simply connect the Green, Green / Black, Purple and Purple / Black wires from the male connector to the Green, Green / Black, Purple and Purple / Black wires from the female connector. Be sure to remove the 47Ω 5W resistors when connecting these wires together.

Signature Required

Due to the valuable contents of some shipments, DBs Car Audio will only require a signature upon delivery if the order is over $500. Such guidelines will not be overruled upon the customer's request. Please understand that this is a security measure taken by our Company to ensure the safe delivery of each package and guarantee excellent service. Many of our third-party shipping carriers and payment companies require signatures upon delivery to protect against fraud and theft. Shipping Policy Disclaimer

Delivery estimates do not apply to items shipped directly from the manufacturer, nor out-of-stock items. Some items that ship from the manufacturer can only be delivered to addresses within the 48 continental states.

Standard delivery time for domestic customers will average from 2-4 business days, but can take longer in some cases. Saturday, Sunday and national holidays are not considered business days for delivery purposes.

Our Shipping Guarantee applies only to shipments delayed due to our service failure. We will not guarantee shipments that are delayed due to an act of god (ex: weather), a catastrophic event, or failure by our delivery partners. Our guarantee is also voided if incorrect billing or shipping information is given and results in your order being delayed to its destination.
